Anchovies-butter. Kebab chicken sandwiches

Today is my day off, had a little window shopping. I didn't go to buy the white shirt that I went for twice in Zara :)

The happiest thing today is that I got to eat anchovies-butter and garlic-butter :) It makes me to recall the memory that Italians barbecue anchovies with salts, taste so delicious! Often I prefer to put anchovies in olive oil with salad.
I have seen Italian raw anchovies, to me they look like sardine fishes.

Had 3 small pieces of cakes. In order to keep proper weight, I haven't had sweets for quite long time.

Had ambrosial Kebab chicken sandwiches again the other day. Pita is also my favorite food. At first I planned to have milk rice, but the restaurant didn't cook the milk rice today, so maybe next time.


The appetizer comprises sour cucumber with white carrot. Very delicious but too sour....to sour!!!

Greek & Turkish vine leave rice........

The first time I had vine leave rice was at Dhahran.
Afterwards also had from Greece and Turkey. Turkish Dolma also wraps raisins.
Greek one also tastes great. Some people dislike for tasting sour which Turkish one had lemon juice included. At first I thought the original leaves taste sour.
I love Greek spicy red pepper sauce very much, which is not spicy at all while having nice smell. Mediterranean Sawima tastes delicious as well.
When I was in Dhahran, friends invited me going to Istanbul together, didn't make by that time but I still want to go, not only for its food but also for its architecture and culture.

Time is fleeting, one year passed already. Valentine's Day's coming agian.

Same as last year, I love flowers very very much, but don't send me flowers on Valentine's Day:) Same as last year's reason that flowers are beautiful and gorgeous on Valentine's Day, as well as extremely expensive! The petals blacken and the flowers wither in 2 days, such a pity to see the money to be thrown into the trash can.

A little box of sage or thyme, give me a rosemary pot, or a plant will make me very happy :) At least within 3 months these plants still exist and I can remember by seeing them.

Don't know why, I love flowery fabric and lace very much :) Everytime pass by fabric shops, I'd walk in and get a piece back home. I would sew the lace around the border of the flowery fabric during holidays and put these pieces at where I like :)

I'm waiting for Jennifer Aniston ~ ~ ~'s movie "He's Just Not That Into You" :)

I have watched several movies acted by Jennifer Aniston and I like her natural performance.

Have been eating simpler and simpler. I used to enjoy eating sumptuous dishes. Now prefer the dishes with nice harmony colors while not too many food together.

I like the match of mozzarella, beet root with broccoli, and pumpkin soup, thinking it is interesting to have such color match while is eating :)

Without knowing if it's the visual change or for keeping diet, without doubt it could be both :)

I gave her great applauses!!

Saw this pretty lady performing Chinese dancers in the mall, she caught most people's eyes' attention. There are five bowls on top of her head, and she could swirl easily with charming dance. She is one of the performers abroad spreading Chinese culture, all their teams received great applauses!!

Indeed, I also gave great applauses!!

For a achieving such successful and excellent dance, it must be the work accumulated for years!! Her consistant strength is a adorable, I believe throughout her practicing stage it must be difficult! From her, I learned the work can be achieved when we aim so.

God of wealth is holding gold ingots

During Chinese New Year, I Saw these lanterns in a Chinese shop, God of wealth is holding gold ingots, which represents the meaning of this lantern and brings people wealth. Tangerine means good luck due to the same pronunciation.

When I was a kid, Chinese New Year used to be what I expected the most.....hearing the sound of crackers, with the red envelopes from the relatives, it is the cash inside the envelope. Indeed, the cash eventually had to give back to the parents since they also need to give back to other kids.

Although nowadays I don't go back to my hometown to celebrate the Chinese New Year, I still make dumplings by myself :) for getting more fortune :)

I wish all my Chinese friends a very happy Chinese cow year, Gong Xi Fa Cai!!

Homesick today

Last week I had a wish to go back home to see my sister because my sister had holidays during the New Year; however, I didn't go back. Another reason was also because my work is busy.
In the beginning of the year I could get a big case from my biggest client, I am glad, so I only could say sorry to my sister for postpone the date.

Few days ago, took in some apples and berries, hopefully not to much sweets taken. It's unbearable from eating when seeing those attractive berries.

Revolutionary Road

"It takes backbone to lead the life you want". " People are better off doing something they actually like." "Plenty of people are onto the emptiness but it takes real guts to see the hopelessness." ......

......Watched Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio's newest movie "Revolutionary Road". This time, Winslet acts as DiCaprio's wife and in order to overcome their dull marriage life, she encourages DiCaprio to resign from the current well-paid work and pursuit his dream to move the whole family to France using their current saving.

Winslet said this in the movie, "It takes backbone to lead the life you want".

Yes, it takes the backbone, but ask me do I dare to move desire to do what I want to do in a completely strange country, without work, without friend, but just for the dream that I used to have, I don't. I wouldn't give up my current job and I might happen to know that I have other interests to do since life is still a long way to go. Some people might blame me for being a fool, but I choose to live for today and I have no courage to select some unknown road.

From this movie, I think Leonardo DiCaprio's performance was outstanding and improved. By the way, if Jack hadn't die in Titanic but got survived and married Rose, this couple's marriage would turn out to be the story we see from this Revolutionary Road. :)

Am I really that like to eat?

This morning I was delighted to wake up and went out, after delicious breakfast and went back home, am I really that like to eat.....I had yoghurt and banana, wondering if the weather is bit cold or the yoghurt was icy and sour, now I feel stomach upset.

I may had too much for breakfast, but I was alright while I had went shopping in ZARA :) Hopefully I'll feel better by tomorrow!

New year 2009!!
Work harder and harder, be confident under whatever situation.
In the past I live the day. From today on, not only live for today but will make everyday of mine the best!
In 2008, all the happiness are given by all around, not obtained by myself only, thanks to all that have surrounded me in 2008.....my boss, colleagues, clients and family.

" We are about as happy as we make up our mind to be" I hope myself could work harder and live everyday the perfect! Hope into action!

Mon Meilleur Ami

This year has come to an end in such away... really appreciate having been a health and peaceful year, and appreciate the people around.

Do you have friends that can ask for help at 3AM.....It is a sentence from this French movie Mon Meilleur Ami ( My best freind ). Feeling terrified for something that has never been pointed out. I always thought friends are the people you are happy to be with, and never expected to get help and take this as a purpose of having friends. Indeed, there is the moment that you need to ask for help.

Used to see the surrounded people when they need to borrow money, their friends run away. Also used to hear that someone needs the neighbor to look after the house, unexpectedly, the neighbor moved away for personal own future. Often people said friends are better than brotherhood......

My grandma often told me how you want others to treat you, first you have to take a look to see how you treat others.

I think not all friends can treat us nice, usually from the TV news we see people got harmed by intimate friends. No matter what it is important to choice the right people to be our friends :)

Bienvenue chez les Chtis 2008

A French movie called "Bienvenue chez les Chtis 2008", unexpectedly the movie is very much entertaining and fascinating. In the first 3 minutes, the impression from the cast was that they are not beautiful enough, but then their actings were excellent!

Enjoy this movie as it has well organized storyline and tight plots. This movie is not just the movie that requires no heavy thinking to worth a few giggles, but it goes into the memory like a keepsake and remember to watch this film again someday.

Toward the end of year, I am thankful and feeling lucky to have job and have comedy to watch.
At the same time, thank my big boss, my colleagues and all for the Xmas gift from them!

During the current economy recession, thank many people around!!
