Mon Meilleur Ami

This year has come to an end in such away... really appreciate having been a health and peaceful year, and appreciate the people around.

Do you have friends that can ask for help at 3AM.....It is a sentence from this French movie Mon Meilleur Ami ( My best freind ). Feeling terrified for something that has never been pointed out. I always thought friends are the people you are happy to be with, and never expected to get help and take this as a purpose of having friends. Indeed, there is the moment that you need to ask for help.

Used to see the surrounded people when they need to borrow money, their friends run away. Also used to hear that someone needs the neighbor to look after the house, unexpectedly, the neighbor moved away for personal own future. Often people said friends are better than brotherhood......
My grandma often told me how you want others to treat you, first you have to take a look to see how you treat others.
I think not all friends can treat us nice, usually from the TV news we see people got harmed by intimate friends. No matter what it is important to choice the right people to be our friends :)

Happy New Year 2009!! Thanks to everyone who visited here and Best Wishes to all of you!

Bienvenue chez les Chtis 2008

A French movie called "Bienvenue chez les Chtis 2008", unexpectedly the movie is very much entertaining and fascinating. In the first 3 minutes, the impression from the cast was that they are not beautiful enough, but then their actings were excellent!

Enjoy this movie as it has well organized storyline and tight plots. This movie is not just the movie that requires no heavy thinking to worth a few giggles, but it goes into the memory like a keepsake and remember to watch this film again someday.

Toward the end of year, I am thankful and feeling lucky to have job and have comedy to watch.
At the same time, thank my big boss, my colleagues and all for the Xmas gift from them!

During the current economy recession, thank many people around!!

tada......here it is...

My colleagues are taking holidays earlier, and I prepared some afternoon tea for celebrating Xmas in advance :-)

In our busy world, the simplest human reactions are often the most rewarding, pause and smile at friends :-)

Every Xmas I receive Panettone which looks like a big bread, though with 7 days away, tada.....here it is :-)

Hark, seesaw!

It will be Xmas after 10 days!! This year, Xmas shopping included my own part :-) for the reason that I saw these beautiful coat. It is rosy pink with champagne color, my favorite one.

I dislike brilliant clothes, light color dresses always rank the top of my selection. This year I bought less clothes compare to the past years, rather, I spent more on the camera lenses and food dining.

Like seesaw, it is financially reasonable and equal when one has spent more so the rest have to be spent less. Without doubt, learn to control myself is the most essential step.

Better not to spent money :-)

Thyme Zaatar

I love Mediterranean food very much. Onion, carrot, olive oil, garlic.....are my favorite. When dining outside Mediterranean restaurant would rank top of my preference.

Thyme Zaatar is my most favorite baked bread. Collected some information about making Thyme Zaatar, and had finally baked once by myself :-)

It resulted very nice taste with crispy, but through out the precedures, it was pretty tiring and long on massage flour :-) .....Combine the flour, salt and make a well in the center and pour in the olive oil, then mixing with hand until the mixture cleans the bowl and has come together into a slightly sticky dough...it was pretty tiring and long on massage flour :-)

Very nice taste with crispy :-)

Very nice taste with crispy :-)

I'm not a good cook, but I'm happy to make the Thyme Zaatar :-)

Before & after

This basket is old and some top parts have little worn out, it is such a pity to throw it away, so I got a piece of Xmas fabric to cover it in a simple way, I feel the new appearance has brought the basket a new life.

Crazily love bokeh in December season

December is my most favorite season in a year, perhaps it's because of Xmas, since all my favorite movies concern Xmas. Don't know if it is the shining decorations or the colors of xmas attract me! Even more, another reason could be the Xmas shopping, my favorite activity :-)

This year, already bought 2 story books, a silky scarf and handbag for friend's children and friends, respectively. Tomorrow's plan is to get a sports bag either Nike or Adidas for another friend who likes to exercise.

Days ago, I shot some Xmas corner photos with bokeh, I crazily love bokeh in December season :-)

3 jam bottles

These 3 are jam bottles, thinking of a way to recycle, thus I turned them to be flower vases, though without gorgeous appearance, they are beautiful in my eyes :-)

Better not to spend money

Haven't been anywhere during weekend, from daily news world economy is in recession. Staying at home, reading, watching, learning, cooking and photo taking are better instead of spending money outside.

Better not to spend money, except buying food and living necessity :-)

Sunshine is free of charge, love to have the sunshine in to the house as an accompany!!

let the sunshine in, sunshine in.

Recently continuously shot photos about windows. I like the light shining in through the window, looked through casement, let the sunshine in, sunshine in.

Ambiguous love is the most beautiful...!

Weekend, take dinner with some friends, they said why romantic feeling before marriage no longer exists after marriage, and even the feeling two people enjoy coffee changes, it no longer romantic, also the anticipation for a date turns out to be the silent moment at home, each does his or her own activity.

Ambiguous love is the most beautiful. I think it makes sense :-)

Dates Memory

Around these day ate a lot of dates & nuts :-). Love Arabian dates and walnuts started from the American school bus to home in K.S.A. It was during Ramadan and my family told me for foreigners are not supposed to eat outside during the daytime.

It was after school, and the school bus driver gave us some dates, figs and nuts. I was inside the schoolbus and looking outside, without any attention, by accident just put the date into my mouth and ate.
When thinking about it, the date was already delicious eaten. This delightful memory always reminds me to buy dates back home whenever I see dates and walnuts nowadays.
For me, beautiful memory does come from environment.

Cape No.7

My friend introduced me to watch this movie Cape No.7.....portrayal of life in a small town. In the beginning 20 minutes the storyline was quite boring, but afterwards I feel the old postman and the young postman play their sentiment role very well in musical performances. This story shows the social structure vicissitude, historical elaboration and different thinking between two generations.

Also across the age, ethnicity, culture and language.Japaness actor Atari Kousuke's Japanese "Sore Zore Ni" is my favorite, and also Taiwanese Van Fan's song South of Border is nice!!

This cup is ginger ale with strawberry, mint and ginger, for celebrating my one-year dairy blog and photos.

Is your desk clean?

Weekend, give some green tea and coffee cookies, this is my most favorite lace and tea cup :-)

Is your desk clean? I read an article saying when you started working, you were bestowed with a clean, plain and pathetically boring desk, and that's just depressing, so decorate your desk by your favorite colors and put up some funny pictures with your necessary office accessories, and you will work fine.

Not really agree with this article. If my desk is covered by many things, I'd get depressed and not work well. If the article was suggested by the physician or specialist, I am really confused.

Everyday I prefer a paper, a pen, a big bottle of water, and a laptop on my desk, all else should stay inside the drawer and cabinet. My room should have a window enable me to see outside either rain or sunshine.

Perhaps one day when my character and mood change, I might turn my desk into a colorful desk.

What you are comes to you.

Monday again!! Little by little one walks far. I like this words " Work is about daily meaning as well as daily bread. For recognition as well as cash; for astonishment rather than torpor; in short, for a sort of life rather than a Monday through Friday sort of dying".

Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you, what you are comes to you. I learned the value of hard work by working hard. Cheerio dreamisz, work hard!!!

High tea

The first impression I got from high tea was from my mother, she loves afternoon tea! The one she loves the most locates in Hong Kong Peninsula Hotel. This picture was shot in my most favorite hotel in UAE.

A few years ago, because of my mother, the first place I went when I arrived Hong Kong was Peninsula Hotel.

In recent years, due to business trip, I tasted difference afternoon tea in defference countries, just the difference in atmosphere, our mind and mood.

Only up to now, I just realize how important a mother could affect her daughter.

Weekend is coming, mood comes from our open mind and thinking. Be a happy person over the weekend!

Kumquats

Autumn is my most favorite season. Without any special reason, just simply fond of it and enjoy the feeling of beginning winter.

*** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***
5 months ago one of my colleagues said she would resign because she said the boss complained her; however, she stayed for another 5 months. Last week, she saw the boss has assigned a project to another colleague, she asked for leave 1 day with unhappiness, by coincidence, it was also her birthday, we still bought a cake for her. After 1 day, she said she would resign again.

Everybody in the company thought she just wanted to be in the spotlight. She favored the feeling when everybody asked her to stay. She said her owns land in her hometown, as well as got a new job though the salary is only half of the current here, she'd like to ask for 1 day leave and take a look in the new company. When she found nobody supported her nor being sweet to her, she was caught by her own words. Without any road to return, she reluctantly resigned.

Today, some colleagues said in fact she has no new job, she was just jealous about the new project handed over to another colleague.

I've been understood that work is a group work, not just one man show, and cannot occupy one thing with the dictatorship power.

This is one of my favorite plants and fruits for me. With a little bit of sour fruit and sweet peel. I remember when I was a kid, my grandmom would buy lots of Kumquat which symbolizes the fortune.

Today is Friday. Happy weekend.

What it is gone, is gone ?!!

Before last Christmas, my NB harddisk was out of order, which contained many pictures of my Europe trip, and thus I had been in gloomy, sad for few months.

It is said, " We look forward, not backward. Remember the good things, forget the bad things" ; however, sometimes I'd like to remember some experiences about the mistakes I should not repeat.

Today is another Monday, begins a new week!! Cheerio dreamisz! Look forward !!

Rmembering

Remembering and busy are not equivalent. What should be remembered must be kept in the momory, especially the worth learning ones.

Memory should be able to help me to become wise :-)

This is a Lebanese restaurant that I like very much in UAE.
