From newspaper that France's Louvre has inked a 30 year deal with Abu Dhabi to open a version of the museum in the capital of the UAE. Now, French purists, who say the museum is sacrificing France culture for US$1.3 billion in oil money. The deal opens the way for the Louvre Abu Dhabi to display thousands of works from some of France's best museums, such as the Louvre, the Georges Pompidou Centre, the Musee d'Orsay and Versilles. The works will be housed in a huge flying saucer-shaped museum erected on the Abu Dhabi waterfront and opening some time after 2012.
